Japanese lacquered fire screen has a dark red lacquer background with floral borders around a central panel with painted mother of pearl figures. The figures depict man pulling a woman in a rickshaw with Mt. Fuji in the background. It is inlaid with mother of pearl as the snow of Mt. Fuji's park. There are also highlights of mother of pearl in the landscape, trees, houses, and sailboats.
